MotifPilot is designed for drafting editable MIDI ideas on iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what the app handles, what the website does, and how to contact us.
Last updated: May 17, 2026
The short version
MotifPilot is built around on-device MIDI drafting. We do not sell your data, do not use advertising SDKs, and do not operate a user account or project-sync service for the V1 app. You decide when to export or share MIDI files.
Overview
MotifPilot helps producers create chord, bass, arp, and melody starters from musical controls such as genre, mood, key, tempo, bar count, complexity, humanize, and swing. The app stores recent projects, generated notes, export records, chord selections, and editing state as part of the local app experience on your device.
Data handled by the app
The app may process the following information so it can generate, preview, edit, vary, and export MIDI material:
- Musical settings you choose, such as genre, mood, key, scale, tempo, bars, swing, and humanize.
- Generated MIDI notes, chord progressions, track selections, variations, and light edits.
- Recent project and export records used to keep the workflow available inside the app.
This information is used to provide the app's music workflow. It is not used for advertising, resale, or third-party tracking.
What this website does
This Cloudflare website serves public product pages, FAQ, RSS, machine-readable summaries, and lightweight health/configuration endpoints. Contact and launch-notice links open email. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message content, and any attachments.
Third-party services
MotifPilot does not use ad networks or third-party analytics SDKs in the V1 product posture. We rely on Apple platform services for App Store distribution and, if purchases are offered, Apple payment processing. Apple may process App Store, purchase, diagnostic, or device-related information under Apple's own policies. Borealbit does not receive your payment card details.
Permissions
MotifPilot's core MIDI drafting workflow does not need microphone, camera, contacts, photos, or location access. If a future version requests a new permission, that permission should be explained in the app and reflected in this policy before the feature is released.
Exporting and sharing
Sharing is user-initiated. When you export MIDI through the iOS share sheet, the exported file is controlled by the destination you choose, such as Files, AirDrop, a DAW, cloud storage, email, or another app. Review the privacy practices of those destinations before sending files there.
Retention and deletion
Local projects and export records remain available until you delete them through the app, remove the app, or clear the related device data. Exported copies are controlled by the place where you save or send them. Support emails may be retained as needed to respond to your request, maintain business records, and protect the service.
Children's privacy
MotifPilot is intended for music makers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through advertising or tracking systems.
Your choices
You can avoid sending us personal information by not emailing support and by keeping exports on your own device. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Contact us if you want to make a privacy request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as MotifPilot changes. If the app adds accounts, sync, analytics, payments, or server-side music features, this policy should be updated before those features are exposed.
