Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using MotifPilot, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

Purpose of the app

MotifPilot helps producers create editable MIDI starters for chords, bass, arp, and melody. It provides musical controls, preview, variation, light editing, and MIDI export. It is not a full DAW, finished-audio generator, sample marketplace, label, publisher, rights-clearance service, or professional music business advisor.

Creative output and ownership

You control the projects and MIDI files you create or export with MotifPilot. Borealbit does not claim ownership of your exported MIDI files. You are responsible for how you use exported material in tracks, collaborations, releases, sample packs, commercial work, or other projects.

MIDI ideas, chord progressions, rhythms, and short melodic shapes can overlap across songs, genres, and users. MotifPilot does not guarantee that generated material is unique, copyrightable, commercially usable in every context, or free from resemblance to existing music. You are responsible for any review, editing, clearance, registration, or attribution decisions required for your own release.

User responsibilities

You agree to use MotifPilot lawfully and responsibly. You may not use the app or website to infringe another person's rights, distribute unlawful material, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or reverse engineer the app except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to do so.

Purchases and App Store terms

If MotifPilot is offered as a paid app, paid upgrade, subscription, or other in-app purchase, transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Prices, taxes, refunds, family sharing, subscription management, and payment issues are handled under Apple's App Store terms and policies. Borealbit does not receive your payment card details.

Availability and changes

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app or website. App Store availability, supported devices, pricing, and launch details may change as the published listing is updated. We try to keep the website aligned with the shipping app, but product details may evolve.

Privacy

Please review the Privacy Policy for details about how app data, website requests, exports, support emails, and Apple platform services are handled.

No professional advice

MotifPilot is a creative tool. It does not provide legal, publishing, royalty, licensing, tax, accounting, or music business advice. If you need advice about releases, copyright, licensing, publishing splits, or commercial use, consult a qualified professional.

Disclaimers

The app and website are provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that generated MIDI will fit your project, that exports will work with every DAW or plugin, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that every issue can be fixed on a particular timeline.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Borealbit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost opportunities, release delays, or disputes arising from your use of MotifPilot or exported material.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of MotifPilot after changes means you accept the revised terms.
